I TiVo'd the damn thing just to see Sly. I gotta rock out to "Stand" in the car before I go into work daily. I was chomping at the bit to see him get up there and command the stage, but I understood why he couldn't continue.
He's disappointed.
Sometimes, I get that way with myself. I've done the no show thing and it still hurts.
I wish that one day, both Sly and I can get over.
I copped that Sly tribute cd at Starbucks last year. It was sad to see him lookin' like a cockatoo at the Grammys.

I grew up on Funk. I was so happy to see him perform..lol.
i love how he yelled into the mic a couple of times, then walked off stage during the performance. that was the best part.
btw, ciara is lucky she is cute, because i was not feelin her vocals.
